To be honest, I was just a little cynical when my cousin told me about using all natural soap berries to wash clothes. However, I’m the venturous type so I decided to give it a go. I purchased this product on Amazon dot com.  The brown waxy hollowed out dried berries had a distinct sent.  Hesitantly I followed the instructions and placed 5-6 berries in the small muslin wash bag. Then I filled the washing machine with a medium size load of clothes. Noticing that there were very low suds, I planned on sending these nuts back for a refund.

Once the wash was complete, I didn’t notice any peculiar scents and plopped the load into the dryer. I was amazed that my clothes had no heavy chemical laden feel. Surprisingly, no static cling even though I didn’t use any dryer sheets.  Convinced, I did further research and  found that these wonderful berries have a multitude of uses:

  • Pet grooming shampoo
  • Glass cleaner
  • Jewelry cleaner
  • Bathroom cleanser
  • Fresh fruit and vegetable wash
  • Kitchen counter tops
  • Carpet cleaner
  • Body wash
  • Floor cleaner
  • Dish detergent
  • Non-toxic spray to deter pest from your garden plants
  • Car wash
  • Shampoo and conditioner
  • Toothpaste

If you are looking to live eco-friendly, this product will help you achieve that goal.  Let me know what you think!
